The room was reasonably-priced, yet quite clean and comfortable. Also it was the only (affordable) place available during the New Year holiday, and so I was very grateful to be able to stay there. The location was also good - it wasn't right in the city but we were still located next to many restaurants, stations, and conveniences stores.
The only think I didn't like is that the floor I stayed on smelled like tobacco/smoke.

smile hotel tokyo ayase ekimae provides exceptional service and respectful staff at an affordable price. the simplistic rooms and excellent in-room toiletries add a touch of comfort to the stay. convenient location with good train connections and plenty of nearby shops and restaurants.
Halls and windows had a lingering smell of smoke.

Room very small, but seems to be standard size for price range in Tokyo. Mattress was too hard.
